RECCO recruits Swedish Ski Team coach Fredrik Steinwall
Stockholm, Sweden – June, 2017 – With more than ten years experience as coach for the Swedish Alpine Ski Team, we are pleased to welcome Fredrik Steinwall to RECCO AB. Steinwall will be responsible to build new and strengthen existing partnerships with ski resorts and rescue organizations globally
Fredrik joins RECCO AB at an exciting time, with the company is broadening its search and rescue system from avalanche and crevasse rescue only to cover all outdoor activities all year-round. As part of this evolution, a new helicopter search detector has been developed – The RECCO SAR. The detector is based on the same proprietary technology as the detectors used in avalanche rescue, but has significantly greater range, which allows fast searches over large areas of wilderness..
"As we expand the RECCO system to also cover summer activities, our need to develop existing partnerships and to create new collaborations with resorts and rescue organizations around the world is also increasing. With his experience and personality, Fredrik will play an important role in forging strong partnerships for RECCO’s growing summer and winter operation, "says Johan Sauer, VP RECCO AB.
Steinwall will start his new position on August 1
