RECCO reflector adds extra safety to Xavier’s Resero Whistle

The Resero Whistle is an instant, hands-free emergency system for outdoor activists, launched at ISPO last year. To further increase the safety function it will now also have a RECCO reflector integrated in the unit.

Stockholm, Sweden–January 25, 2018–The Resero Whistle uses GSM network and a Lora WAN network to cover GSM black holes. This ensures the transfer of the SOS signal with exact GPS coordinates. The RECCO reflector works as a safety back up system and also facilitate an exact pin pionting in the final search stage.

Rescuers carry RECCO® detectors that send out search signals which are echoed by RECCO® reflectors, carried by the user. RECCO® detectors are used worldwide at more than 900 ski resorts and mountain rescue organizations in 32 countries. RECCO® reflectors are integrated into select apparel, helmets, protection gear and boots manufactured by more than 150 leading outdoor brands.
