NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPTAKE, ENTRANT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF SPONSOR, WHICH ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL REGARDS.

1. “RECCO Search Challenge Sweepstake” (the "Sweepstake") is a sweepstake organized by RECCO AB, hereinafter referred to as ("Sponsor"), registered at Radiovägen 3A S-181 55 Lidingö, Sweden, under the number SE556606902601. 
2. The Sweeptake runs from February 23, 2024, at 08:00 AM PST to February 25, 2024, at 7:59 PM PST (the "Entry Period").
3. Unless provided otherwise herein this sweepstake is free of charge and is only subject to the present Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) and to all applicable laws and regulations.

By entering and participating in the Sweepstake you (“Participant”) agree to be bound by these T&C and represent that you satisfy all of the eligibility requirements below. If you do not agree to these T&C, you may not participate in the Sweepstake. 

1. The Sweepstake begins on March 6, 2025, at 08:00 AM PST to March 12, 2024, at 7:59 PM PST (the "Entry Period"). The only entries that will be considered eligible entries are entries received by The Sponsor within the Sweepstakes Period.
2. In order to participate you need to reside in one of the following countries: Canada and the USA. People from other countries cannot participate.
3. Subject to the above, everyone above the age of 18, who is not excluded from the Competition according to clause II./2 of these T&C, may participate in the Competition. If we find out that a minor under the age of 18 has registered for the Competition we will promptly delete all data submitted to us. 
4. The following people are excluded from participation in the Competition:
   The Sponsor employees and their families, and the employees and families of partners of The Sponsor who are involved with the design, organization, and implementation of this Sweepstake.
5. To enter, participants need to participate and complete the RECCO Search Challenge by the RECCO stand at Arc'teryx Backcountry Academy Whistler 2024 and register through the following form tally.so/r/mV58YJ during the Entry Period.  Participants should then click on the “REGISTER” button after all the required information has been entered.  Your performance on the RECCO Search Challenge will not affect your chances of winning.  Proof of entering information at the Website is not considered proof of receipt by The Sponsor.
6. Participants may enter only one time per Entry Period.  If multiple entries are received from the same person or email address, only the first entry will be considered and all subsequent entries will be disqualified.  All requested information must be completed to enter and to be eligible to win.  Entries must be received for consideration.  No mechanically reproduced, incomplete, forged, software-generated or automated multiple entries will be accepted whether entered online or by mail.
7. The winner ("Selected Winner") will be randomly drawn no later than February 28th, 2024, and will be notified by The Sponsor via e-mail within 7 days after the draw, if a valid e-mail address or address is available. The Selected Winner may reject any prize awarded to them. If no valid e-mail address or if the Selected Winner does not confirm the acceptance of the prize within 5 days after receiving the notification of winning mentioned in this clause II.6, the notification will be without effect and the prize will be withdrawn. In this case, The Sponsor reserves the right to determine an alternative winner by conducting subsequent random drawings until a new winner is determined. The same applies if a Selected Winner rejects the prize. The Selected Winner shall be solely responsible for all taxes and fees, or costs associated with the prize, including but not limited to any federal or state or other income tax.  
8. The prize: Participants have the chance to win one Arc'teryx Alpha FL 30 Backpack, with a value of $320.
9. Once the Selected Winner has accepted the prize, The Sponsor will deliver it to the Selected Winner by courier/mail. The Sponsor bears the delivery cost of the prizes, however, all other potential costs related to winning one of the prizes mentioned under clause II.6 (such as travel expenses, as well as any taxes or duties) shall be borne by the Selected Winner.
10. Prizes are not transferable and not assignable. No substitutions of prizes will be allowed, except The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize(s) of comparable or greater value in the event a prize or any portion thereof becomes unavailable for any reason.  
11. No cash alternatives will be provided and prizes are not exchangeable, non‐transferable and non‐refundable.
12. The Sponsor does not accept any liability for errors in the submission and transmission of submissions. The Sponsor does not accept any responsibility for registrations that are lost, arrive late, are illegible, incomplete, damaged, or invalid in any other way.
13. The Sweepstake will be run at The Sponsor´s sole discretion. The Sponsor's decision in relation to all matters in connection with the Sweepstake is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. The recourse of the courts is excluded.

Participants acknowledge and agree that their personal data will be processed by RECCO AB (The Sponsor) for the purpose of organizing and conducting the Sweepstake (e.g. to contact Selected Winner).By participating in the Sweepstake, participants agree that their email address may be used by RECCO AB to send marketing communications, such as newsletters, from which they can unsubscribe at any time

2. The information you provide will only be used for purposes of administering this Sweeptake and will not be transmitted to third parties or official partners. Only the data of the Selected Winner data might be shared (inside and outside of the European Union) to support to performance of the Competition (e.g. carrier for delivery of the prize, other members of The Sponsor group for administrative purposes). If the personal data is processed in a country that does not have a recognized level of data protection such as the European Union, we will use contractual or other recognized means to ensure that such personal data is properly protected.
3. The Sponsor will delete or anonymize the personal data collected after the following period:
   - Mere Participants and Selected Winners: six months after the end of the Competition,
   - Winner: seven years after the receipt or consumption of the prize,
   - In any case: if applicable until the expiry of the guarantee, warranty, limitation and statutory retention periods valid for us and/or beyond this until the ending of any legal disputes in which the data are required as evidence.
4. Participants have the right to information over their personal data stored, deletion and correction of the data saved concerning their person, withdrawal of their consent to the processing of their personal data, data portability, object to the processing of their personal data, to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. To exercise any of those rights Participants may send an inquiry to info@recco.com indicating which right they are referring to.

1. Winners are herewith informed that for the prize the same warranty and operational provisions will be applicable as for products sold by retailers. However, the Sponsor shall not be liable for anything additionally.
2. The Sponsor shall not be liable for any damage which results from an incorrect adjustment or unintended use of the product.

1. This Sweeptake is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia with venue in Vancouver and all claims must be resolved in the federal or provincial courts of Vancouver, BC. If any provision of the Official Rules or the application of any such provision to any person or circumstance shall be declared to be invalid, unenforceable or void, such decision shall not have the effect of invalidating or voiding the remainder of the Official Rules, it being the intent and agreement of the parties that the Official Rules shall be deemed amended by modifying such provision to the extent necessary to render it valid, legal and enforceable while preserving its intent or, if such modification is not possible, by substituting therefore another provision that is valid, legal and enforceable so as to materially give effect to Sponsor’s intent.

2. Any legal issues that arise in connection with the performance of and participation in this Sweepstake will exclusively be dealt with by the relevant courts in the place of jurisdiction of the Sponsors' headquarters, provided this does not contravene any compulsory legislation. The Sponsor may however also elect to apply to the courts of the residence of Participant.

3. If any clauses of these T&C should prove wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining clauses will not be affected.
